Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray is not a suspect!
In the custody battle threatens to break out on Jackson’s three children, the Los Angeles Coroner confirmed the artist was associated with prescription drugs and detectives were interviewing the last person to see him deliberately – Texan Dr. Conrad Murray.
Dr. Murray, whose car was seized for forensic testing, had tried to revive the singer, 50, before an employee in the home called 911 about 5:21 Friday Melbourne time clock. The King of Pop suffered cardiac arrest and was found dead in the emergency room of UCLA Medical Center two hours later.
There have been reports the star was given the routine injection of Demerol, a powerful painkiller, shortly before he collapsed.
It is clear that Jackson had been dependent on painkillers, as he prepared for a grueling round of 50 performances at London’s Wembley Stadium in a bid to ease crippling financial debts of up to $ 620 million.
Some media have speculated, was the star on a daily basis, a shopping list of prescription drugs including Xanax, Prilosec, Vicodin, Paxil, Oxycontin, Soma, Dilaudid and Zoloft.
New Age spiritual guru and close friend of Deepak Chopra said Jackson was suffering from an addiction to prescription drugs, including painkillers Oxycontin and Demerol.
Mr Chopra said Jackson was “not confronted his drug addiction.”
“I think it was responsible for his death, not only helped,” said Mr. Chopra.
“It was what led to his cardiac arrest. If you have enough drugs in your system is not in a heart arrhythmia and breathing stops.”
The case was a further twist yesterday when it was Dr. Murray, the concert promoter to accompany Jackson in London.
Dr. Tohme Tohme, a Jackson adviser, said LA-based concert promoter AEG Live was retained Dr. Murray, in LA two weeks ago.
Dr. Murray first deals Jackson for a cold, when he is in Las Vegas last year.
LA Police Department Deputy Chief Charlie Beck said yesterday Dr. Murray’s BMW was seized because it could be evidence in connection with the death of Jackson.
He suggested that the police were searching for drugs.
“I’m not comment on whether anything like that was found, but this is usually the reason why a doctor of the vehicle at the scene, the death would be confiscated,” he said.
He said the police were yet to find evidence of criminal activity.
The Jackson family attorney Brian Oxman said, “bags of material were seized by police from Jackson’s home.
“They (police) were looking for drug vials and syringes,” said Mr. Oxman.
“I do not know if they found syringes, but it would have a quantity of drug vials.”
Police were unaware of Dr. Murray’s whereabouts for several hours yesterday, sparking reports he had fled.
But it was later reported that they were due to interview him for a second time
Police, as interested in his actions at the time of Jackson’s collapse.
As a physician, Dr. Murray can pronounce a patient dead, but this task has been to doctors in the hospital.
The LA County Coroner’s Office, said Jackson had a prescription drug, but could not say the drugs were in his system until toxicology results were published in four to six weeks.
The office said there were no signs of trauma or foul play.
Jackson family claimed his body in mid-afternoon yesterday Melbourne time after an autopsy. Funeral details were not disclosed.
